Happy United States of America Constitution Day!!

You all might be asking yourselves, "What in the world does the US Constitution have to do with STEM?" We can answer that in two words...

Historic Preservation!

And where, exactly do you turn to learn more about how one of the most important documents in the world is preserved? Well, Popular Mechanics of course!! The link below provides you with a phenomenal overview of exactly how the US Constitution is perfectly maintained for many centuries and generations to come. Thank you to the National Archives for their continuous and unwavering devotion to our country and our Constitution.

Additionally, we would be remiss if we didn't take a brief moment and demonstrate the link between the STEM fields and Historical Preservation.

No longer do you have to choose between studying STEM or studying History; with Historical Preservation and Conservation - you can do both! Think Archeology, Architecture, Building Pathology (wood and masonry), Cartography, Geology, Conservation Management, Weather and Anthropology just to name a few! We are thankful for all of the STEM professionals who worked and are currently working in these fields and continuously inspire us to imagine the past in the present in order to protect the future. Truly, an honor it is to be the guardians of history while carrying the torch of knowledge. For it is the radiating illumination from the torch that imparts understanding and awareness for generations to come.

Thank you.

God Bless and STEM on!
